Faceted bud vase with salt-fire glaze
This unique vase was wheel-thrown then paddled with a wooden spoon to create four distinct sides on the originally round form. It was finished with a blue glaze and fired in a gas-fired salt kiln, which creates unique flashes and speckles on the glaze as the salt vapors react with the piece. Sometimes the results are magical; this little vase is one of those times.
